Iyengar yoga emphasizes practicing the poses with correct alignment while developing sensitive self-awareness. Each class is designed to provide a balanced experience of flexibility, strength, stamina, and calm through thoughtfully constructed sequences.
New and continuing students of all ages, levels of experience and abilities can find an appropriate class to guide and support their practice.
Classes are taught in 8-week sessions in order to provide an integrated, effective learning experience. You can begin at any time. Drop-ins are always welcome .
The studio is equipped with a rope wall, blocks, blankets, bolsters, belts, chairs, shoulder stand supports, eye bags, and mats.
In her classes Karyl teaches poses on an elementary level and then takes the poses deeper and deeper creating a keen awareness that unites the breath, body, mind and spirit. The atmosphere in class is warm, welcoming, fun. As a student, I leave class feeling not only exhilarated and fit, but calm and at peace. It is a delight to be a part of these classes and an absolutely wonderful thing to do for yourself.
